New podcast episode - MArtial Arts in the olympics

10/23/2018

Today I had the honour of chatting with Olympian and Tae Kwon Do black belt and gym owner David Siscoe. Our discussion was a fun chat about how the Olympics have changed the martial arts.
During the conversation a few other fun topics came up, like RedBull Kick-It, The McGregor Khabib post fight theatrics and comparing the kicks of different martial artists.
In case you don't know what RedBull Kick-It is, here is a fun video!
We also discussed a video showing different martial artists kicks. I am not sure if this is the video that David was referring to, but its a fun watch!
You can listen to the podcast on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Anchor and a few others as well.
The other good news is that I am doing a giveaway of BPI Sports' KetoBomb. Check out my Instagram for more information.
Enjoy!!!!

My Podcast is live! A few Thank yous

As many of you may know, I created what is called the Martial Arts & Fitness Podcast. Episode 1 was recorded on Friday and went live. It initially started on a platform called Anchor, but is now available on Spotify, Google Podcasts and PocketCast to name a few.
I will have links to each later on in this post.
Really, what I wanted to do with this post is help make the podcast more accessible to people who may be interested in Karate, Martial Arts and Kata. Each episode will of course have a different theme, but they are all about Martial Arts, Fitness, Nutrition and training.
A few thank yous are in order.
Mainly to Sensei Stacy Ungar for being my first guest and for allowing the podcast to be recorded at his Dojo - CSL Martial Arts. (cslmartialarts.ca for more information).
His knowledge about Karate, and the Martial Arts in general is amazing and I think it was a great way to kick off this podcast.
I also need to thank my buddy Dan for thinking this was a good idea, and for the many hours of conversations we've had about Karate and Jiu-Jitsu. It was those conversations that made me realize we should record them so people can learn and get some other perspectives. Or maybe encourage somebody to go try a Martial Art.
I guess a big THANK YOU needs to go to my good friends Arie, Mike & John. As teenagers we all participated in Kajukenbo. We also watched too many Martial Arts movies, played too much Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat and we all had a passion for the Martial Arts.
I of course need to thank my wife and son for allowing me the time to do this. I hope they find it at least somewhat interesting.
If you want to find the podcast, it is called THE MARTIAL ARTS AND FITNESS PODCAST WITH COACH OZZIE.
Here are the places you can hear the Podcast:
Anchor
Google Podcasts
Spotify
Breaker
Pocket Casts
RadioPublic

I'd love some feedback and stay tuned for episode 2 which will be a discussion about JiuJitsu and Intermittent Fasting.

Until then!!!!
